As part of our effort to increase the visibility of working-class studies, we are pleased to announce a new collaboration with New Labor Forum, a journal that for over ten years has maintained a strong commitment to hosting discussion and debate among labor-oriented academics, organized labor, community-based activists, and cultural workers. As the Working-Class Studies Association grows, we hope to develop our own peer-reviewed journal. Now we are happy to take this first step by arranging for publication of one article peer-reviewed within the WCSA in each issue of New Labor Forum when accepted by its editors. This will begin in the January 2010 issue, which will include an essay by Margaret Costello. We are now establishing an editorial board for the Working-Class Studies Association and will report its composition and policies to our members soon.
Please take this opportunity to subscribe to New Labor Forum at special discount rates available only to members of the WCSA. The membership renewal form has details, and you can visit the journal’s Website to learn more. Your subscription will bring you cutting-edge articles and debates vitally important to working people. It will also bring you articles generated through the Working-Class Studies Association and help to build an important voice for working people.
